Lovely ambience

This was my third visit to Hotel Botanico and I still love the place; in many ways, it is a home from home. I never thought I'd see the day when I wouldn't give it a 5-star review but this is one of these unusual occasions. The main reason for not giving it full marks was a combination of a couple of things. The main one is the charging for activities in the Spa area; previously you could do the morning classes for free if you had access to the Spa on your room deal - now they charge a whopping 50 Euros for a 50-minute session. This is more a one to one rate than a group activity rate. This cost can fairly mount up if you do the two classes per morning as I used to do on previous visits. It is a shame, as Elenora who does the classes is fabulous. It's also good to see that they do some of the classes outdoors (like pranayama etc.) I used to say they did the best breakfast in all the hotels I visited but the selection is somewhat reduced now; I'd imagine because of COVID (which is understandable). All in all, it is still a fabulous, very welcoming hotel, run to a very high standard with excelent staff. We will be back.
