Minimoon at Hotel Botanico

We had a wonderful four-night stay at the Botanico from 29 March, following our wedding in Scotland the previous weekend. It was our third trip to Puerto de la Cruz but our first to this hotel, which I think is the most expensive in town and by some margin. It didn't disappoint! Despite the lifting of most of Tenerife's covid restrictions, the hotel was still pretty quiet, but this was actually the perfect way to experience it...peace, a tranquil Spa feel, no fight for sun loungers and great, super friendly service from absolutely everyone we met. The place was absolutely immaculate, the lawns manicured, the pools in pristine condition... We had read a few less-positive reviews from couples who had brought children to the hotel, who were displeased with the availability of kids' food and facilities etc. We don't have kids, yet, but we were a bit surprised that parents would think this is a great hotel for noisy toddlers or all-action teenagers!
