Lovely staff...always friendly, cheerful and helpful

This is a lovely hotel with lovely staff who are friendly, cheerful and helpful in every way. Our room was spacious and comfortable with wonderful mountain views. The pool area is spacious with ample sunbeds and the surrounding garden is beautiful. Everything is immaculate. Be aware that the location is above the main resort of Puerto de la Cruz so the walk back up is steep. However there is a regular hotel shuttle bus down and back up and there are various cafes, bars and shops within easy walking distance as well as the Botanic Gardens, which are well worth a visit. If you want to visit Loro Parque independently the shuttle bus drops you off next to the yellow "train" which takes you to the park and one of the lovely staff at reception will print off tickets so that you don't need to queue when you arrive. Our only disappointment and I hate complaining, was the quality of the food in the hotel restaurants. We tried them all as we had booked half board and although the staff and their service was excellent I'm afraid that overall the food was not of the standard we were expecting.
