A perfect week for body and soul
We have now been coming to this hotel for over 10 years and yet again it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Tenerife is blessed with a high number of 5 star hotels yet none of the others have the remarkable ability to make guests feel immediately at home, welcome and doing something profoundly good for body and soul. The entrance to the hotel is majestic, the welcome from the staff was sincere and the rooms (if not the largest) are well appointed with some of the best beds in hotels anywhere. The main pool is good, the gardens enchanting, especially illuminated at night, but it really is the spa where this hotel comes into its own. It is immediately obvious why this place has deservedly won awards for decades and will doubtless continue to do so. The other great thing about the spa is that children are not allowed in as they do make other areas like the pool and breakfast room unpleasant. Adults wanting to relax should avoid any school holidays at all and the hotel should ban children from the breakfast room at the back of the hotel. Speaking of the pool; the service there was very poor and that boy needs replacing quickly with someone more industrious! Since I was last here the hotel has greatly improved its bus service into town which was utterly brilliant and credit needs to be given to the maintenance team. This hotel was renovated during the pandemic but looking at the state of the hotel it could as easily have been yesterday. Once again thanks to the staff at the Botanico for all you did to make the stay utterly wonderful yet again and I’m already looking forward to seeing you on my next stay.
