A Definite 5 Star in the Heart of Tenerife

We just spent 5 nights at the Hotel Botánico and Spa and it was absolutely wonderful. The hotel itself is indeed a true 5 star. It is located in the heart of Tenerife about 20 minutes from the Tenerife “North” Airport and a short walk to Puerto De La Cruz. The grounds, pool area and spa are at another level. It gives you the impression you are staying in a Thai/Polynesian resort in the South Pacific. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, with a classic updated decor, and very clean. You have extensive sitting areas on every floor and main lobby with a large interior bar area where nightly music is played. The hotel offers a variety of food in three different restaurants, and if you want to change it up, directly across the street from the hotel’s entrance, you will find 4 different types of restaurants from Italian to Argentinian. Quite important, the hotel offers free, secured parking for those guests who have a rental car, which is strongly recommend if you want to explore the island. As to the service, it was phenomenal, from the front desk clerk, to the bell boy, to the housekeeping staff. They were always eager to help and assist any way possible to make one’s stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast is served every morning in one of their restaurants. You can either eat indoors or outside by the pool area. Finally, they have a putting green where one can work on their putting skills if planning to play golf on the island. Definitely a great place to stay if visiting the Island of Tenerife and already looking forward to a return trip in the near future.
