Lovely Hotel...shame about the food poisoning!

Very nice hotel. Stayed there for 2 weeks in January 2025. The good: Excellent Spa, nice bar, fantastic staff, lovely public areas and pool, good gardens, top class service from the staff. Very classy restaurants just unlucky with the food poisoning. The not so good: The bathrooms were rather small and need updating, I think at this price you would expect a proper shower not just a non temperature controlled hose above a slippy narrow bath. Odd as most of the guests here were not exactly in their first flush of youth and getting in/out of the slippy narrow bath for a shower would be tricky, or could be the Hotel has a good relationship with the local orthopaedic surgeon. Only criticism is, I got food poisoning, now I know this was from the hotel as I had only eaten there. This can happen to any Hotel but I was surprised that there was no response from the Hotel management at all. I did tell reception after 2 days when I was able to get up as I thought I knew exactly what I had eaten and I could tell them so other guests could avoid my fate but no one from management was interested. It would have been nice to have got an apology or a bowl of fruit sent up...or even a bowl! but nothing.
