Quite probably the best aquarium we have ever been to

What a place to visit. The site is quite large to begin with but is laid out so cleverly on multiple levels to wind the path back and forth around the main key tanks. The engineering used to construct the paths and allow access to the tanks is top notch and the photos in the listing really do not do justice to the reality - the signature display window shown in the listing is well over 20 feet tall. Huge range of specimens with also many interesting replica aquatic fossils from prehistoric times. Good use of multimedia to give context to each specimen. Cost us EUR 27 per ticket which is perhaps a little pricey when compared to other Gran Canaria attractions but is very good value compared to other similar aquariums in other countries. I'd be astonished to find a better example in Europe.
