Beautiful Hotel in Tenerife

We visited Hotel Botanico to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was an amazing experience. The Hotel itself is in a beautiful setting within the Oriental gardens, creating a perfect place to relax in whilst parakeets fly overhead. The rooms are clean, well decorated and very comfortable and little touches like turn downs are done every day. All of the staff are incredibly polite , courteous and helpful and make guests feel really welcome, from the front desk, to the cleaners, to the restaurant staff. The food at the various hotel restaurants is all excellent and offers a great variety. Don't skip ordering food from the Pool side restaurant, the fish and rice dish, caesar salad and deserts were all incredible. There's also a good mix of entertainment at the hotel bar and the bar staff make an excellent cocktail. There are plenty of good facilities throughout the hotel, with many different pools and sun lounger areas and a gym. The only slight negative was the spa, as the various steam and sauna rooms were all too low a temperture which meant it was like sitting in a cool room, and the indoor jacuzzi was also tepid and the jets were week. The redeeming feature of the spa is the treatments, we both had massages which were excellent. Overall we had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Botanico and would love to revisit one day.
